What We've Achieved
Auto:
In Third Party Liability we saw an underserved market for medical cost containment, and an opportunity to move away from the old lump sum settlements. The big question was why not go “direct to the providers”? The provider, claimant and adjuster all want the same thing – a fast, fair settlement of the medical bills and claim. So we created a no conflict solution that changed the way bodily injury claims are settled and is now a best practice. We then launched the Live Benchmarks and Claims Validation solutions by listening to our customers who needed help reducing fraud, identifying collateral source offsets and improving payment accuracy on large facility bills.
Workers Compensation:
In WC we saw a highly served market with suppliers delivering solutions, but a lack of innovation around specific, high leakage areas not easily addressable by fully automated solutions. While there are many bill review companies and networks, there is a clear absence of highly skilled people to review and address complex medical bills and charges,. Consolidation and automation have changed the workplace, but the 5% of the medical bills that drive 55% of loss costs are left with software not capable or folks not trained to address the complexity. Our Direct Connect solution features people with the skills and expertise to cost contain both prospective and retrospective treatment on complex claims.
